About Echo

Meet Echo! Echo is a handsome, quiet, sweet boy who just arrived at our rescue week. He's incredibly sweet, well-behaved and loves affection. Here's a note from Echo himself: 'Hi. I'm Echo�'�|.looks like I made it to my foster family just in time for fall fashion week.�'�|. It's been a big week for me. I was saved by the wonderful people at Valley River Humane Society after my human mom got sick and they reached out to Almost Home Dog Rescue NC to see if the nice people there would like to meet me (and six of my friends). They said YES!! Needless to say, during all this I had so many butterflies in my stomach that my whole body trembled. I was terrified. Then something wonderful happened�'�|�'�|my rescuers sat down on the damp ground with me and let me bury my face in hugs. Even though I smelled really bad, they kissed my head and gently stroked my fur, telling me 'It's ok now'. I needed to believe, so I decided to be brave and trust them. Now, I'm a supermodel�'�|�'�|obviously! I smell like lavender�'�|..that's weird but, it makes my foster mom happy. My personal habits are impeccable�'�|.that's all me (some of us are just born with it). I'm still working on being brave�'�|�'�|the soft bed, spa music and body massages are helping. My new dog friends are showing me clever ways to get treats. Who knew that sitting was a rewardable skill? It's a bit more nuanced, isn't everything? At the rate I'm learning I'll be packing on the pounds in no time! I think my foster mom changed my name because I keep hearing good boy, good boy, good boy or, maybe there's an Echo in here?
