Charli is a female German Shepherd mix (some Australian Cattle Dog, Rottweiler, Pitbull) turning two some time in December. She's very skittish and often pees submissively but will earn your trust with slow introductions on her terms, lots of treats (strawberries are her favorite) and lots fetch with her favorite ball. Charli does well with other dogs, but may be best suited in a home where she is not competing for dominance with another female. She is a very sweet girl once you've earned her trust and will literally drop slobbery balls in your lap all day until it eventually gets stuck somewhere she can't reach. She has mini bursts of energy and then settles herself down in her bed with her favorite blanket and likes to suck on it for comfort (she has always done this since we first adopted her). Because of her skittish nature, she does not enjoy walks and does not like loud noises. She will need a lot of desensitization training to make walks more enjoyable/relaxing for her. She needs a confident leader who can help her learn to be more secure, and a home without small children.
