This is a beautiful gsd that is full blooded. We got him from a shelter where he was housed for 3 weeks aprox. He was found as a stray. He has typical gsd traits. He's young, so he is very active. This dog requires long periods of exercise. This dog has a good temperament around people. He absolutely should NOT be around kids. They scare him and he turns aggressively barking. He is exceptionally smart and has learned basic commands and does them some of the time. He is very much a prey driven dog. He will chase a whole flock of geese in 1 minute. He bonded almost instantly to my son and he is great with me UNTIL my son leaves the house. The dog turns very aggressive and had attacked me for the 5th time 2 evenings with him. He has been on trazodone and it does help somewhat. Idk if he has been crate trained but if you leave him alone, he will destroy everything he can get into. I will only adopt him out to either a gsd trainer that has worked with these dogs only. Or he will have to be put down. He attacked me and would not stop 2 nights ago. He jumped on me, knocked me out of my chair, pounced on me repeatedly, scratched me, bit me, barked at me and nothing would get him to stop. He should be only housed with men with absolutely no kids. He is capable of being loved. I love him and have had gsd's my whole life so I'm aware of how they behave and he's very loving to me and playful but as soon as my son leaves, he starts in on mom. Let me be clear--I will NOT house this animal without knowing what his home life is like first. I will not be liable for this animal. I will not ship him anywhere. We must meet in person first. I am located on the north side of Indianapolis, In. and will travel a short distance if I can as I am handicapped. He is utd on shots except for rabies. He has not been fixed but needs it immediately.
