About Clyde

Pit Bull / Mastiff
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Hi! My name is Clyde aka Clydey, Clydey Poo-Poo, Bubs, Big Bubba I am a 5-year-old, 100-lb love bug who doesn't know what personal space is. My parents love me so so much but I am not getting along with two of my brothers and in two years it has not changed. I love attention, cuddling, toys, and adventures. I take treats extremely gently, walk excellent on a leash, 100% potty-trained, know dinner time, treat time, sit, paw, and lay down and like large kennels. I think I am 10-lbs and will climb right up on your lap to cuddle and watch TV with you. I love all people and will lick them all over when I meet someone. I sleep with my mom every night and like to spoon or nuzzle up to her neck. I do well being left alone during the day but always prefer someone to be around. Clyde would do best as an only dog in a home with no young children. He loves one of his current brothers, but we think it is because he is very submissive and the other two brothers are not. He should not be taken to dog parks but will not reactive negatively when he sees other dogs while walking; in fact, he wants to say hello. He is just very selective on who he can live with so very slow introductions to other dogs is a must. He also thinks all toys are his and doesn't share very well, another reason the only dog is best and no young children. We don't have children but are making the assumption the will reactive negatively because that is how he reactions when another dog tries to take his toy. Clyde will start a fight with a non-submissive dog but is never aggressive to humans. Clyde also needs a fenced yard as he will take off to explore the world no matter how many times you yell 'Come!'. Clyde is up-to-date on all shots, see his vet on a regular basis for any issue or check-ups, is microchipped and will come with an insurance plan through Embrace (it just needs to be swapped over to the new owners name). He does have some ear issues as his sister and brother love to constantly lick in his ears, which causes the issue; he has medicine to alleviate it. This is one of the hardest things I have had to do but the quality of life for my other two dogs is not good with the fights that have happened. I will be doing a home check prior to anyone being approved to adopt him.
