About Volke

This sweet boy is full of life. He's extremely handsome and so smart, too. We spent some time working on commands. He's already got Sit dialed down and he started to pick up Stay immediately. He will need someone who's committed to his continued 'education' but he's a lot of fun to work with. His enjoyment is infectious. Two years-old, neutered, fully vaxxed and microchipped, he was in foster briefly for a few days recently and there's a report that he chewed a few owner belongings when left alone. It doesn't sound like he was crated and he's likely a good candidate for that. It was also his first few days in a new place. It's hard to know what his routine was. Additionally there are some staff notes that he's not currently kenneled with another dog because he was too intense on his approach. He did have a kennel mate during his first shelter stay, however, and he was great with her- a young, high energy girl. I didn't witness what I'd call reactivity with other dogs when I had him out. Slow introductions are always needed, in any case, and that's after a decompression period for the shelter dog who's entering the home.
