About Hades (FKA Byron)

LOCATION: Barrington, New Hampshire DOB: 12/28/2021 Meet The Big, The Bold and The Beautiful Brindle- Hades. Hades is an honorary Dane in the rescue. He is a Mastiff/Shepherd mix who is in need of a new home. He is a very affectionate fella who is quite loving and listens well. He wants to please his owner. And just like his Dane friends, he thinks he is a lap dog. Hades has lived with children and likes little ones of all ages although he sees himself as the alpha dog if an adult isn't in the room. Cats are fine as long as they keep to themself and give this gorgeous boy his space. Bearded dragons, rabbits, and guinea pigs are okay. Having doggie housemates isn't his favorite but he would likely be ok with a young/puppy female. Caution would have to be taken as he is food-aggressive when other dogs are nearby. With strangers, he can be timid until he warms up to them and sometimes he tries to greet people with double high-fives. He knows a few basic manners such as Sit and Stay but he needs a strong leader who can help lovingly guide him into being a great dog with great manners. This big boy is housetrained and crate-trained. He is leash-trained but has not quite mastered the joy of a calm and laid-back walking experience. An apartment would not be ideal as he is not very good at playing the quiet game. His big boy voice is big boy loud. Riding in cars is fine. Hades is ready for his forever family.
