About Anubis

German Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Hello folks, My name is Anubis! I am a 3-%BD year-old German Shepherd in need of a home and family. I'm being fostered by my trainer, Miss Maddie, and I also have my very own fan club run by Animal Rescue Konnection! I have a gift for determining who would be a good friend, kind of like doggie ESP. I am on the shy side at first, however certain humans have a vibe that gives me the 'warm & fuzzies.' I have a sweet personality, enjoy activities, and love my outdoor time. When training, I get very focused because I love to learn and work with a human. When I came into rescue I was very nervous about everything. In the last few months I've made great strides since being around people and other dogs, and by having a daily routine. I do very well with direction! Since honesty is the best policy, I will need someone to help me be my best by setting expectations and reminding me to be a good boy (but in a nice way!). Do you know anything about teenagers? If you do, please understand I can be obnoxious if you let me. When I get over excited, I turn into cuckoo-happy-jumpy Anubis! I've even been caught being a little too curious about what you're making for dinner. Goals include building confidence, creating a bond with his new person, being comfortable meeting people, and being exposed to new experiences. But, living and training in a structured setting is only the beginning of Anubis' rehabilitation. His adopter must also commit to working with him once he is adopted. It could take many months or more for him to really gain confidence and feel comfortable. Without a committed person, his current hard work will be useless. Can you be the leader he needs to succeed? Please will you adopt me? I've never had a real life, but I'm ready to make you proud if you'll be by my side every step of the way! Love, Anubis xo Background: Anubis was adopted as a puppy during early covid. He was never socialized with other dogs or people during this time and once his pet parent returned to work, he was left in a crate 8-10 hours per day. Without training or direction, he didn't know how to handle different scenarios. He's much less fearful and has shown an incredible ability to learn. He has no history of being aggressive or biting; his preference is to take flight when scared. Requirements: Patience, time, & willingness to work with him. Experienced large dog handler, one he can look to for direction. Multiple visits before being taken home. Needs a daily routine to include plenty of mental and physical exercise. He could live with a very balanced dog. Single family home. Kids16 +, no cats. Please apply asap at https://bit.ly/ARK-Application #ARKforAnubis #JustSaveThem #GSD
