Orkin back at the CACC shelter in Chicago! Adoptions take place daily from 12p-6p Orkin has an over bite that accentuates his sad boy look. Passing by his kennel, sadness radiates from Orkin. We could feel his displeasure in being at the shelter in everything he did outside. Orkin didn't want our treats, toys, or comforting pets. He was owner searching and barely stood still the first few times we took him out. Orkin looks well cared for. His color fur isn't easy to keep clean so even a few days on the streets would make him dirty. Yet Orkin showed up clean as a whistle. Thankfully Orkin has started to open up. He knows commands and plays well with toys. Orkin has a sweet spot on his chest but doesn't mind scratches in other places too. We don't think we've seen all of Orkin's playful side and probably won't until he leaves the shelter.
