About Sebastian (Bash)

Adoption Fee: $500
German Shepherd
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Bash is 4.5 years old, born 2-8-2019 of East German Working descent (Guthries in Tucson, AKC registered in 2019). He is 95 pounds and he is chipped. He is well trained and is a good boy. He obeys commands well, and he will heel off leash with an attentive master. He just needs a little retraining to help him to not run to greet and love visitors (he does not jump on people). He has not lived with or socialized with any other dogs since he was young, so he will need to get training for tolerance of other dogs before he can be allowed to be with any other pets. I would also be concerned with him being around small children because he has never been trained to be careful around them, and he plays hard. He was great with my 9 year old granddughter on a visit when he was 2.5, but she is bossy. He is athletic and loves his frisbee (special rubber and fabric type from Petco/Petsmart). Bash is generally a very good boy. He just needs more attention and to be alone less. I am alone now and don't have anyone to take care of him when I go away for work or vacation, and he really needs a family. He takes enzyme powder (Panatex) with every meal because he has an enzyme deficiency. He eats only Merrick's beef and Buffalo beef formulas, with 3.5% fiber (their lowest) and NO chicken meal, and he gets a new antler for every new bag of food. He does not get a lot of snacks, and he NEVER eats table food. He gets some eggs and some cheese snacks a few times a week, and meat and cheese are his favorite training snacks. Bash is a low cost guy. He is extremely healthy, and his poop is well formed and easy to manage. He spent the first three years of his life on 10 acres, but he stays inside the house during the day with no trouble at all. He never chewed anything in the house. Only his bones and antlers. He just sleeps when he is home alone. He even stays in a camper alone sometimes. He is a very good boy. I hate that I have to do this. I will not let him go to an unstable or inappropriate home. I will have to see the home and meet the family that would adopt him. And I will show you everything I do with him and how I command and communicate with him. He instantly falls in love with anyone that shows interest in him, but he is a serious guard dog when he is at home. Send your phone number to me via email with a note describing your family and home. I am asking you to donate a sizable sum to this organization because you would have to pay far more than that for a puppy like him with some training, and I need you to be serious and committed to this adoption.
