Juna is a 5-6 year old purebred Bluetick Coonhound (without papers). She was likely neglected and ended up in an animal shelter, where she was rescued by her first adoptive parent, who had her for 2 years. Juna is now an energetic, loving, housetrained dog who loves hikes, being chased by other dogs, sniffing, morning belly scratches, and laying in the sun. She needs plenty of space or outdoor time. She is an angel inside the house, but doesn't have the best recall outside. Juna is a bit skittish of new folks, but is never aggressive & is loving as soon as she gets to know you. Juna is so loved, and had mammary cancer and was treated for 8 months, and has been cancer-free for over 3 years! Juna's current mom is an elder single woman losing her housing and moving in with her daughter, who cannot keep Juna. Juna needs housing by the end of September. Juna is currently living with Xuxu, a 2 year old neutered small husky/shepherd mix who also needs a home. They'd love to stay together, but it's not necessary. Keeping them out of the shelter is the highest priority.
