About Evie

Evie is a very sweet 7-year-old purebred GSD. She has been with the same family since she was 12 weeks old. She is shy at first but very sweet once she gets to know you. She loves to play fetch inside and will bring you her ball over and over again to play. She hasn't quite learned how to play fetch outside! Such a goofball. She's very cuddly and loves to get hugs and scratches. She is not aggressive in any way and just gets nervous in social situations or with new people. When she's being shy, she just hides in a corner (her favorite spot is in the kitchen) until she's had a little time to warm up. She is kennel trained and potty trained but would do best with a family where someone works from home or is retired so that they could spend more time with her. She is happy just to lay on the carpet in the same room as you. She has grown up in a home with other dogs and has always been good with them, but recently has started not getting along with them and I think it would be better for her to be in a home where she is the only dog. It breaks my heart to rehome her but I want to make sure she has the best quality of life possible. The ideal family for Evie would be one where she would have someone to keep her company - she especially loves women and elementary aged kids (or older)!
