My name is Rose. I came from South Korea when I was about 6-months old in August 2023. When I arrived, I was a sweet, yet timid, girl who was afraid to come out of my crate. It only took two days though before I was acclimated and happy, both in and out of my crate, and adapting to a new world full of love and attention from my foster family. After a couple nights, I was sleeping contently through the night in my crate. My foster family says they've been having fun watching me 'blossom' which, considering my name is Rose, seems appropriate. I have learned some basic skills and manners, mastered stairs, and am pretty good on leash. I haven't had any accidents in the house for well over a week. I'm quiet and I love to play, especially with toys! I can manage several toys at once, giving them equal play time. When I come out of my large crate/play area in the afternoon, I bring my toys out one at a time. I also found the hidden toy bin and enjoyed giving each toy my individual attention. In addition to toys, I also love chewies! I am very gentle with people and dogs I meet on walks because, well, I am a naturally curious and happy girl. I will need a loving home with patience to continue working with me on basic skills, gentle playing, and sharing toys. My foster mom has intervened a few times when I was playing with the resident dog - she gave me 'time outs' so I could remember to play positive games and not bite the resident dog's ears. With focused work, I will continue improving very quickly. As a puppy, physical and mental stimulation, as well as emotional bonding, are important to me. I am very sweet and smart, and my foster family says I learn 'surprisingly' fast. (I THINK that's a complement, but I'm not sure. Did they think I'd be slow?) Anyway, I love to give sweet kisses to my humans. My foster family says I will be a wonderful 'furever' dog. With you, I would love to prove them right. *******Adoption fee: $700 plus $35 microchip fee******* Rose is being fostered in the Portland area.
