Arf! Arf, everyone! I'm Martin, and I'm a sweet, sociable, and mellow 60-pound black German Shepherd/ perhaps English Coonhound mix fella with beige and white markings who was born about August 2019. I heard my Foster Mom tell someone, 'Martin is the sweetest guy ever!' I love to snuggle and get along with adults, kids, as well as other dogs. I'm also quite keen about playing with my toys and then being a couch potato by taking a long nap. Like a typical German Shepherd Dog, I like to bond with my foster family by being right in the center of all their activities. We GSD's can be gentle family pets who easily learn commands. Although German Shepherd Dogs make great house dogs, we need regular daily exercise for our physical and mental well-being. A Good Samaritan found me wandering the streets with my canine buddy. I'd been hit by a car, so I was named Martin, and my buddy was named Aston. Thankfully I've gotten surgery to repair my injuries and am healing just great. Who knows how long Aston and I had been homeless because we both turned up heartworm positive. No worries! I'm undergoing slow-kill treatment, and Miss Donna is covering the cost. My healing has progressed so that I'm now ready to find my fantastic forever home. I may have gotten a rough start in life, but I'm anticipating that the next chapters of my life will be exhilaratingly happy. I hope you're looking for a friendly and easygoing dog like me and that you'll arrange to meet me! I have so much love to give - all I need is YOU! Martin is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250 (includes heartworm treatment) for dogs older than 9 months. An application must be filled out prior to adoption.
