This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Tully is a very special dog. He bonds to one person or a couple. It takes him time to fully trust, but he is incredibly loyal once he reaches that point. He is highly food motivated. He has separation anxiety and general anxiety. His ideal home would be somewhere with lots of outdoor space. A ranch where he could be trained with jobs that challenge his mental capacity would be ideal. He currently lives in a home with two other dogs. For several weeks they did not get along. Over time, they have become good friends! He does not do well with new people or new dogs. In these types of situations, he becomes very anxious and fear aggressive. He does not like to be picked up or and can be weary of hand petting at times - except with his chosen person. He loves to cuddle and be close. He loves attention, hiking, toys, treats, running, puzzles, and anything active. He needs someone who can spend ALOT of time working with him. He needs behavioral training. I believe if someone has the outdoor space and a job that enables them to spend the amount of one on one time with him that he needs in order to properly train him, he will be the best dog. He is a lover at heart and highly intelligent. It breaks my heart to rehome hom, but I know I do not have the parameters he needs in order to feel secure. I need to know he is going to an excellent rescue group who can offer him what I've been unable to. He deserves a big, beautiful life. Again, he is such a special dog.
