About Rufus

*PHOENIX METRO AREA ONLY* Rufus is a 3-year-old, 35 pound labradoodle (we think!)��%BD'��%BD|no DNA testing has been done so this is our best guess! According to his foster mom, he is a 'GEM' and is the perfect dog! He is a sweet, goofy, a little shy, affectionate, well-mannered, smart, happy guy! He is a 35-pound lap dog who loves a good hug! Rufus is house broken, loves to ride in the car and rides very politely in the back seat. Rufus loves to go on walks and is great on a leash. His foster mom has taken him on numerous outings to Home Depot and other places and he's very well behaved in public. He doesn't shed and doesn't mind a bath��%BD'��%BD| he is surprisingly flexible and gets himself into positions you wouldn't expect from a guy his size, especially during post-bath zoomies! Rufus does fine with other dogs and would enjoy another dog in the home but really just wants to get love from his humans! There are currently no children in his foster home, so we don't know how he will do with children, so we would suggest that any children should be a bit older (at least 12 years of age) and respectful with dogs. Rufus is not fond of cats, so no cats in the home please! Rufus is an easy going, well adjusted guy who will do best in a home with a fenced yard so he can run and do zoomies, someone who is active and can take him on walks, hikes, etc. He would, of course, prefer a home where at least one person is home the majority of the time so he can get lots of love all day! He does not do well in a crate and gets very anxious, but he is not destructive in any way, so his foster has not had to crate him at all. Rufus is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $550.00.
