We have been fostering River for 3 months. River came to us after being found as a stray in Eastern Kentucky running scared near one of my favorite river fishing holes, with severe malnutrition and, and obvious indications of having spent a lot of his life trying to survive on his own. We couldn't leave him in his malnourished state trying to survive on his own so we took him in, got all of his vet needs taken care of, and have steadily brought him back to being a loved dog, no longer starving, and socialized with people, other dogs, cats, and a family. Unfortunately we have 4 other rescues dogs and 2 rescue cats and want River to find a loving home that can continue to show him the love he has received for the first time in his life and the full time attention he deserves. River is going to provide a lucky family a wonderful and loving pet who wants nothing more than to become a permanent member of that family. River has a great personality and really gets along great with his foster sister and brother dogs and is curious and friendly to his foster feline siblings as well. He is a smart, gentle and happily velcro fur baby who loves his human family members and always wants to please us. We plan to get him neutered in early September and want his forever family to know they are getting a great dog. If you're looking for a great companion who will be committed to you for the rest of his life, look no further than River.
