About Maisy

Maisy is a 1 year old, 40lb, beautiful Shepherd mix. She loves to play in water and always manages to find a stick to carry around. She is such a fun, intelligent pup! Maisy is active, curious, and focused. She is constantly figuring things out from her new routine, to new tricks, to opening doors, to bringing her water bowl to the sink to refill (which is empty because she loves to splash in it)! She finds toys and tree branches that she collects into a pile and then rolls around in her treasures. Maisy is definitely one of the smartest dogs we have met and we can imagine her bonding so close to her next person who is willing to teach her! She would be a great dog to consider if you'd like to do obedience or agility! She enjoys having a job to do and would love to go hiking or on adventures with her family. Maisy is already housebroken, crate trained, and does well in a car. She is friendly with new people and gets along with most dogs. She did great at a dog park but can be dominant and pushy with other dogs. She loves to run and enjoys being chased by her pup pals. Maisy lived with cats in her previous home but has been a little too interested in our kitties so we think she would do best in a home without cats.
