Baby is ready to begin his next chapter, and hopes you can help him write it! Baby came to rescue when his owner died suddenly. He and his bonded brother, Ralph, were brought to rescue and there they have been learning all the wonderful things that the world has to offer. With his foster mom he has gotten to meet lots of new people (he's great will all but small children), new doggy friends (dogs his size are okay), learn about doggy doors, and enjoy learning the joys of patrolling their big back yard. Baby does have separation anxiety and will bark incessantly when left alone, so apartment or townhouse living is not for him. A family with someone who is retired or WFH at least part time would be ideal for Baby and Ralph. If you can offer Baby and Ralph the perfect home and happily every after, then they would like you to rush to fill out that application! Baby is a 6 year old Yorkshire Terrier who weighs 8 lb. He is heartworm negative, UTD on vaccines, neutered, and had a dental just a few months ago. Baby is house-trained and pad-trained, but needs to be kept on a regular schedule like most small dogs to avoid accidents. He bonds quickly to his people and is definitely a velcro dog, wanting to cuddle with his person all the time. Baby also rides well in the car and LOVES squeaky toys. He knows basic commands such as 'sit' and 'no'. Crate time is usually by his own choice. Other favorite activities are couch surfing, tv/cuddle time in the evening, sleeping in the big bed with the human, and squirrel security detail at the big picture window. Baby is fostered in Manassas, VA. Please complete an application at coaldr.org if you're ready to give these wonderful boys their forever happy home.
