About Barbie

I'm Barbie, and I'm a doll--a beautiful 5-year-old rat terrier looking for her dream house. The woman who brought me to the shelter said I was a stray, and she thought I was pregnant--the nerve! The vet confirmed I had just been enjoying a few too many snacks, so I slimmed down to 15 lbs. (no plastic surgery required), and now I'm ready to start a new chapter in my life. I'm a little reserved, especially at first, but I'm also very affectionate and love to give kisses. My favorite activity is hanging out with my human(s)! I like snuggling up right next to you, and I enjoy watching TV too! I would prefer to sleep next to you in bed where I can keep you warm and offer quiet company. Mealtimes make me do an excited little prance. However, I don't cook, so I will require a personal chef to serve me my food. Being crated isn't my favorite thing, but I tolerate it. However, my foster mom lets me have free rein of the house, and I've been trustworthy and not at all mischievous. I'm house-trained, reliably conducting my 'business' outside, and I walk pretty nicely on a leash. Nevertheless, despite being a Barbie, I'm not perfect. I've been trying my paw at being an escape artist when I'm outdoors in the fenced backyard, so you'll need to keep a close eye on me. My dream house would be a quiet home without young children. I definitely don't like dogs that put their face into mine or jump up next to me! I think I get along better with male dogs my size. At the end of August, I'll have my spay surgery, and then I'll be ready for my new home. I can't wait to play with you, my new best friend!
