This gorgeous girl came into rescue when her elderly owner could no longer care for her. She was not accustomed to going outdoors and her former owner had her 'pee pad' trained, but she is catching on quickly from the other dogs in her foster home and learning to do her 'business' outside. She has a bit of hair loss on the back of her knees, tail and back legs, which is not uncommon in the breed. She did have a Cytopoint injection and foster mom is giving her oatmeal baths to try and improve her coat and skin. Kady was apparently an 'indoor' dog only, but she is gaining more and more confidence with being outside and has even gone for a few swims in foster mom's swimming pool! She does well with the other dogs in her foster home and seems happy to submit to them. She plays a bit, but we feel she never played in her former home, so she is still learning how to me a 'normal' dog. She gets a bit anxious when left alone and barks initially, but quickly settles and is not destructive. Kady has never been crated and we feel she would not respond well to such confinement. She just wants to snuggle with her humans and burrow under the blankets, so if she would be in heaven if allowed to sleep in the 'big bed' in her new home. Due to her background of not being well socialized, we feel a home with older children (12+) only would be best.
