About Kimi

American Staffordshire Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Kimi's playful personality has blossomed since being away from the shelter where she sat for months until was placed on the euthanasia list due to mental deterioration from being there for so long. Thankfully, this sweet 4 year old, 60 lb. was saved in the nick of time. Now in a foster home, here's what her foster mom has to say: 'Kimi is so sweet, and has really come out of her shell! She is great with children and women; in the beginning she was very timid of men but my roommate spent time with her to show her the love she has been missing and she now loves him and other men as well. She's even getting more comfortable out in public around strangers. She came in to the shelter extremely under weight, and has slowly been gaining it back. She has shown no food aggression at all, even with her having been underweight. She LOVES playing with my dogs who are twice her size. She also loves pets and cuddles and will put your hand on her head for them. She is great with my kids, 10 and 3 years old. She also is absolutely obsessed with the water hose! If you want a loving and loyal dog to run and play with your kids in the sprinkler she is it! Kimi is crate trained and will go into it on her own. She is also completely house trained. She has started whining to go out when she needs to and has made huge strides. We also keep pee pads available for her, and she will use them if she absolutely has to, but prefers to go outside. Please share and consider adopting this wonderful girl!' If you are interested in meeting Kimi, or to speak to her foster mom to start, please contact KENNEDY by email or text at (802)673-9026. (NOTE: Kimi is in foster in SC where she was saved. Interested families in Northern states will be able to speak to her foster mom and meet her virtually over video, then ground transport to her forever home will be arranged! )
