About Hershel

American Staffordshire Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

PLEASE HELP! *** URGENT - NEEDS FOSTER ASAP! Hershel was saved from euthanasia when he found himself in an overcrowded NC shelter after a good Samaritan almost hit him in a gas station. This happy little guy jumped right into his car and the finder thought he was doing a good thing by bringing him to the shelter never expecting that the dog he just saved with soon be facing euthanasia because no one ever came looking for him. :,-( He is a 3 y/o, 55 lb. happy-go-lucky and energetic boy who is a terrier mixed with something else; not sure what but you can see his fur is fluffier than a typical staffy/terrier. He takes treats very gently and loves attention!! Sadly, we know he has been beaten because he flinches with any movement around his head/face which is heartbreaking but is a testament to his happy-go-lucky, forgiving spirit. Hershel is now back in a boarding facility, and it feels like a shelter to him. He really needs his furever home, as long term boarding just is starting to affect his mental well-being. So, if you or someone you know are interested in adopting Hershel. Please contact KENNEDY by email or text at (802)673-9026. NOTE: Hershel is currently being boarded in the South. Transport will be scheduled for him to be brought to the Northeastern states for serious adopters only.
