FIVE ADORABLE 13 WEEK OLD PUPPIES BELIEVED TO BE CHOW MIXES AND FROM CHOW X MOMMA ALSO NOW AT THE RIVERSIDE COUNTY SHELTER, BEAUTIFUL, EACH AVAILABLE TO ADOPT, OR FOSTER AND RESCUE SEPARATELY OR TOGETHER (PLEASE NOTE RESCUE GROUPS NEED A FOSTER OR FOSTERS TO SAVE ANY!). THE PUPS AND MOMMA ARE DOG FRIENDLY! WHO CAN ADOPT OR FOSTER OR HELP AS THE RIVERSIDE SHELTER IS EUTHANIZING YOUNG ADOPTABLE DOGS AT AN ALARMING RATE AND WE DO NOT WANT THIS ANY OF THESE DOGS TO BECOME ANOTHER STATISTIC LIKE THE OTHERS! Help!! Five adorable 5 puppies (3 females, 2 males) were found under a car, along with a young, petite female chow mix that is believed to be the momma. They can be adopted or fostered individually or together, but please only adopt a puppy if you plan and are able to keep a dog for its entire life once it is full grown and even old. These dogs will also be required to be fixed (adopters may return to the shelter to do with an appointment if they are unable to do this before exit). This is CUPCAKE, a female puppy weighing 8.2 lbs upon intake and still growing. She may be in the 4 - 70 lbs range when full grown. All were brought to the Riverside kill shelter which is beyond full. Momma and the pups (now about 13 weeks and available to adopt separately) have met legal retention- we are in need of homes and or fosters asap. These dogs may become red listed (meaning on the euth list) like they have with other young, adoptable dogs without warning for something as minor as a runny nose. The momma we are calling Sunshine is estimated to be 2 years young, and only 42 lbs so a perfect size! The pups are also smaller, around 8 - 12 lbs and all brought to the shelter on August 14th. We do not know what the momma is mixed with but she does have a partially black tongue. The pups may have different daddies and breeds, most look shorter fur. The momma and pups have no reported behavior or medical issues at this time. Sunshine is dog friendly as she is now with two unrelated female dogs in a kennel at the shelter, and the five pups are together in a separate kennel. If you are interested in adopting or fostering any of the pups or momma, please contact the shelter immediately by calling (951) 358-7387 and use their listing links and reference the applicable ID. Or, to foster, or if you need further help, please contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network as we are trying to find fosters we can then refer to a rescue group to save. She or the pups may also possibly be able to be fostered through the shelter if you contact them via phone or at [email protected] and reference the ID. Information on each can also be found on https://www.rcdas.org/index.php/adopt.
