This is Lady! She is about a year and a half old and around 12 lbs. She had a litter of puppies in June that have found forever homes, and now it's her turn! Lady is a former feral. She had little to no human interaction before we started working with her in June of 2023. She is slowly getting comfortable in a house, but she will need a lot of patience from her new family while she adjusts to them. We have recently been able to give her occasional pets and ear scratches, but only when she's feeling comfortable and asks for them. She has learned about couches, fluffy dog beds, and toys, and is a big fan. Lady has had a training consult with US Canine and a T-Touch Trainer. It was recommended that she be in a house with other dogs. Currently she lives with a beagle, a yorkie, and a chihuahua. She's pretty high energy and has the most epic zoomies I have ever seen. She loves to play chase and wrestle with our dogs, but she can also nap with the best of them. Lady will tolerate having a harness put on her and loves going on walks, but it took some work to get to this point. We're still working on her leash skills, but overall, she's doing great with them. It took a little time to get used to one another, but she is now very good friends with our very chill cat. She's getting more and more comfortable being picked up, although left to her own devices, she would probably rather not be touched by the humans unless it's on her terms. She greets us with tail wags, jumps up to say hello, and gently accepts food and treats from our hands. She'll also lie down close to me if I'm sitting in the bed or on the couch. Lady is a very funny and sweet dog and will make an awesome addition to someone's little pack. It will take some work, time, and patience, but she's so very worth it! Watching her come out of her shell over the past few months has been an absolute joy. We do not have a shelter facility and our pets are housed in foster homes, vet clinics and local boarding facilities. Many of our adoptable pets attend adoption events each Saturday at Mall of Georgia Petsmart in Buford, Georgia from 11:30-3:00 pm Please check with us to find out if a particular pet will be available.
