Foster or adopter needed Meet Sweet Pea Meet Sweet Pea, a 2.5-year-old, 36-pound bundle of love looking for her foster or forever home! She originally came to Baltimore county shelter in April 2022 as a stray when she was found to be heartworm positive. She quickly found an adopter but sadly was just found in another county as a stray yet again-still heartworm positive. Despite her rough time, Sweet Pea's loving spirit hasn't diminished. She still adores people and is eager to make friends with everyone she meets. While she can get along well with other dogs with slow and proper introductions, she will need to be kept calm during her heartworm treatment, which means short walks, no jumping, and no excitement. This is why it's best for her to be an only pet or separated from other pets in the home during her recovery. We believe that Sweet Pea deserves a home where she will be cherished and cared for as a cherished family member. If you have space in your heart and home to offer Sweet Pea the love and care she needs, please consider fostering or adopting her. Together, we can give her the life she truly deserves! Requirements for Foster/Adoptive Home: A willingness to provide a calm and loving environment during Sweet Pea's heartworm treatment. Separation from other pets in the home to ensure her recovery is successful. Plenty of love, attention, and care to make Sweet Pea feel safe and secure.
