Cameron is a diamond in the rough (most in foster care are!), and he just needs the right family to really help him shine! Don't let his size fool you, he's still just a BABY! The vet thinks he is likely a shepherd/husky/cattle dog mix. He weighs 50 lbs and has the cutest spots on his paws. He was found stray outside Camille's Caf in Gallup NM. His favorite thing to do is to play with his TOYS. He loves to take them all out and take turns playing with each and every one. This keeps him busy for hours. He also really enjoys playing with the other dogs in the house, and is very social and friendly when meeting new people and dogs. Cameron is a little bit too curious about cats, and a little bit too exuberant for a home with very small children. He is a RUNNER! Standard fences pose little obstacle for him. While he always quickly makes his way home, a family who can provide a security conscious setup will be necessary to keep him safe. His speed and athleticism may lend themselves nicely to agility, if that's something you're into. He will also happily melt into you on the couch and just chill, he's not too picky as long as he's with his people. Cameron doesn't like to be left alone for long periods of time. He will thrive with a family who can include him in their daily activities. He would benefit from doggy daycare or a walker if left alone for the workday. Cameron has quickly gotten the hang of using a dog door to potty, is crate trained at night and is learning to enjoy loose leash walks using a Halti. He will benefit from a family that has the time and resources to continue his training, to ensure he reaches his full potential.
