This is Sage she's been with me and my wife for the last 3 years approximately. She showed symptoms of EPI at about 1.5 year old, we took her to the vet and got lab work done at is was confirmed she had EPI Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, so her body is unable to digest food without some form of enzyme medication. We tried the recommended vet preference through chewy which was pancreaplus she did good with it and never showed any signs of being sick even though she wasn't putting on weight the vet recommended we increase her enzymes and we are sure that would solve her weight issue but my job had a workforce reduction and I was impacted and we had a baby in December along with us already having a long haired German shepherd it's just been a lot for us and we just can't fully deliver or give her what she needs sadly and i am disappointed in myself but putting her down is just not in my vocabulary she was just unfortunately one of the 75%+ of German shepherd population that develops EPI. She is very very high with energy she might seem underweight but you would be impressed with how much she loves to play fetch, she runs up and down our side of the fence with the neighbors dog 24/7. I have a lot more info that I'm willing to discuss over a phone call, I want her in a good home with someone who is not looking to give it a shot but willing to commit to what she needs I promise you she will be the greatest dog you've ever had i do ask that I keep close contact and perhaps some visits she is very important to us we are not asking for any money just proof of stability and area she would be living in 801-900-0200 Ogden Utah
