About Bridgette

Bridgette and Ellie are the sweetest girls. They found themselves in a shelter through no fault of their own. Unfortunately because neither of these girls 'looked healthy', and the shelter had no space,the girls were put on the euthanasia list. Ellie had been hit by a car and badly injured and just left to suffer. A good Samaritan found her Bridgitte was found as a stray, emaciated and with a non-functioning leg. These girls had survived horror and they were still here, yet they found themselves fighting for their lives in the shelter - we could not let them down. With very little notice, we sprung into action and found two foster homes. We were then able to partner with a large medical rescue group and save these girls from being killed. After evaluation and a few days recuperating at a local vet, both girls were transported to a larger Veterinary hospital for their surgeries and recovery. Just check out their 'freedom' ride together!! Even with their injuries, tails are wagging and ears flopping, they knew they were free and now in good hands! The girls have had their surgeries and fully recovered, they were originally scheduled to go to seperate foster homes in Northern Virginia while we found adopters for them individually or even as a pair. Bridgette had an amputation,so she is a tripod. She also has suspected chronic CCL issues in her stifles. Ellie had FHO surgery so she will need the typical rehab. All medical expenses will be covered by the medical rescue. Unfortunately the foster set aside for Ellie is no longer able to take her, so we need an immediate foster and/or adopter for Ellie. The girls can be adopted together or seperately. Wagging tails and happy to accept pupperonis as sympathy gifts! Walks on a leash well. Takes treats very easily. Very well behaved.
