About Bandit

Australian Shepherd mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Bandit, Heart-Stealer! Yo-ho Hearties! Our blue and brown bright eyed plushy tailed blue merle Bandit boy is going to plunder your heart! The approximately 5 year old, 45 poundish Aussie mix has a happy temperamemt and typical herder energy. Foster Mom calls him the 'almost perfect Aussie'. Are you seeking a great pal, matey? Bandit has handsome manners, a calm temperament and just all around hail and well met good vibes. The bubbly buccaneer gets along well with kiddos (was raised with them) and pooches of all sizes. In his foster home are senior pups, Chihuahuas, fellow Aussie types- even puppies (he sweetly loves them). He's rather indifferent to felines. Bandit does well on leash, doesn't jump up and is good with his crate. At times, the quirky canine will enter his crate and shut the door behind him. In his previous life Bandit received professional 'good dog' training. So, why is this scallywagger with ASA? Well, as all herding dog afficiandos know-Aussies are smart and social. They need to interact and engage-or, they'll find something to do themselves. Aargh! It is against the Paw-vateer Code to leave our poochmates to concoct quests of their own. Bandit was left alone in his fenced yard for too-long periods. Monotonous. A bit lonely. So...our little wayfarer decided to create an adventure. First step, taking himself up and over-he scaled their chainlink fence. Blimey, Captain Bandit! Avast! In his Foster home, Bandit is not left in the backyard to do as he will. Temp Mom is Aussie savvy and engages the loving lad. Later, he will lay contendly at her feet. Bandit's Forevers? He's simply seeking Family that makes their dog a part of their life and lifestyle. Folks that don't leave their dog outside alone. Bandit will be an almost perfect pal for just about anyone, including dog smart kiddos 5 and older. Another laidback canine or two would be a bonus. Felines are fine. A yard with a privacy fence or wood fence is looked for, but may not be necessary for an experienced and involved who manages and monitors their brood. It's going to be 'fair winds and following seas' in our fella's Forever. The main thing Bandit wants is Someone who understands Aussies and is certain they have the time and temperament for an 'almost perfect' boy. Multiresidential buildings (such as apartments) are not a good fit for this pup. Our adopters give their new family member time to decompress, grow familiar with the new environment/routine and invest time to train. They're committed to slow monitored introductions with new people, especially children, other animals, and places. Captain Bandit sailed over to add, 'Ahoy! Are you my Forever first mate? Let's live a treasure chest of a life- full of love and fun!' Are you destined to sail the seas of life with Bandit as your pupmate?
