Marigold is a 7 year old, 8.12 pound Pomeranian LOCATION: Pensacola FL NEEDS: She will probably do best in a quieter home where she can spend lots of time with her person, fenced yard. HIGHLIGHTS: Calm, sweet, and quiet. Marigold is a sweet Pomeranian who was surrendered to us. She is friendly and quiet and likes to get up close to her person and snuggle bext to them. At night she often starts out in the big bed but then jumps down and sleeps behind a big chair in her foster moms bedroom. She's still a little shy and reserved with people, mostly ones that she doesn't know, but she will come out of that with the right family. Marigold is great with other dogs and the other dogs in her foster home like her. She does not have any problems sharing treats or attention. We have not had her around cats or kids but think she would be fine with older kids who are familiar with small dogs. Marigold is fair on a leash, and likes to go outside. Initially we thought she would be okay without a fenced yard but she has decided that she likes to dart out of doors and she is very fast so we think a fenced yard is best to keep her safe. She knows how to use a doggy door and seems to be housebroken. She does great in a car. She rides quietly in the passenger side and would probably make a nice travel companion. Marigold has calm energy and has not played with any toys yet. She is starting to show interest though. We just don't think she's ever played with toys before. Marigold has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Her spay and a dental are scheduled for August 15th at our vet and are covered by the rescue. She does have a slight luxating patella that you can barely notice. This is fairly common for little dogs and we are only mentioning it because every once in a while she has a little skip in her walk. Marigold is a very good little girl who will make any family happy! To meet a dog and be considered for adoption the first step is to submit an adoption application for review. *We are located in Pensacola Florida. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments, and dogs with behavioral issues are only adoptable within a 1 hour drive to Pensacola. Most others we will consider within a 5-hour drive. We do not ship or transport our dogs. *We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a facility. Our dogs live in private homes in and around the Pensacola area until they are adopted *We review multiple applications for each dog and pick the best fit. We are not always able to respond to every application.
