About Charlie

We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. �%A0 Needs experienced owner.�%A0 Charlie experienced trauma early on. She was isolated in an outside pen for years and had little if any socialization so she now needs a special person, preferably a woman, to find comfort and security . Charlie is gentle and loving with kids. Charlie would thrive in an only pet home with an experienced dog owner. She loves being the center of attention, enjoys belly rubs and playing fetch and she knows commands! She has made some progress with walking leashed in the neighborhood, but is very reactive on walks, barks and lunges at other dogs. Charlie is extremely food motivated and loves earning treats, chewing on knee bones, peanut butter kongs, and licking peanut butter off of her lick mat. Her temporary foster writes, 'Charlie is sweet, affectionate and loveable with us. She loves giving kisses. She is not a fan of her crate and prefers to sleep with her person. She needs a home where she can be the center of attention. Must have a high fence since she jumps. Charlie needs a slow introduction to new people.' If your heart is open to a dog deprived of affection and integration pls apply to foster or adopt. We can provide a free training session with one of our proven successful trainers to set up a framework for her in her new home. Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed assessments are based on visual appearances.
