RUN! Don't walk! Kitty's adoption fee has been sponsored by moi, personally because we're best buds and SHE HATES SHELTER LIFE! It's just too stressful for a young, active shepherd. Kitty is sweet, playful and oh so trainable! She is a little wary of strangers for the first minute or two, her big bark can put people off, but as soon as she sniffs you out, she's is ready to play and be silly. I personally spent 10 min with Kitty on Sunday and she warmed right up after just a couple of minutes. Kitty is a typical young, German Shepherd mix and needs a calm, confident leader to let her know that she is safe. She will need someone who can continue her reactivity training (training staff are happy to give advice and help for Kitty, complimentary!) This long-legged shepherd girl would love life in the burbs or on a little land so she can stretch her legs and worry a bit less about strangers as she starts to feel more confident. Kitty can play well with other dogs at the shelter, so bring any pre-existing fur-kids to KCPP for a playdate before taking Kitty home.
