REDUCED FEE Adoption fee is $250 This handsome little man is a 12 year old Maltipoo. Looking for love and a new home. Small kids might make him nervous but older teenagers are fine. If you are home most of the time and looking for someone to give you all their attention, longing for a snuggle buddy??? Well look no further. Dexter will give you his undivided attention, love, snuggles and follow you around like a shadow. Dexter is house broken, will walk to the back patio door and stand there when he needs to go outside, only occasionally barking. He does great walking on a leash. Goes potty outside in the fenced in yard but does not like being left outside without you. He will immediately come to you when you call his name. He's a sweetie when he's not around other dogs. It's possible he would do fine with a female dog but I would say he definitely shouldn't be with another male dog. Dexter would love to sleep in bed with you, but right now sleeps in his doggy bed on the floor next to his foster mom's bed. When we say it's bedtime, he runs to the back door to go outside and then comes in and goes right into his bed. He's very food motivated, even though he has no teeth! He knows 'wait' if you put a treat on the floor (most of the time). He can catch treats in his mouth, popcorn being a favorite. He will also stand on his back feet and wave his front feet while you're getting his meal ready. We feed him dry food soaked in water 3 times a day. Dexter loves to ride in the car and loves to look out the car window. He does bark so an apartment may not be the best place for him. Like a lot of small dogs he barks if he sees someone outside or if a new person comes into the house. It's because he gets so excited more than anything else and things quiet down quickly. He loves to chase a soft toy you throw but has problems picking it up since his teeth were removed. Dexter is neutered and up-to-date on all vaccines except Bordetella..
