James is another refugee from the Duplin County shelter and he is doing us proud! At only one year old, he acts mature for his age because of his calm, gentle nature. His pilot was particularly impressed with him and his quiet disposition. James has the head of a lab but the coloring of a hound, so when the two are blended, the result is a beautiful tan and white dog! There's just something about his demeanor that is so appealing. James is happy and confident, but very sweet and unassuming. All these good traits will make him a wonderful family dog! He only weighs about forty pounds, walks well on a leash and is friendly with other dogs. In fact, he flew in with Remy on a six-passenger plane and they just sat quietly in the passenger seats! James is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative and will be neutered as soon as possible. If you are interested in learning more about James or would like to meet him, please email Ann at [email protected] or go to secondchancehabitat.org, click on forms and fill out an application. James will be very grateful and so will we! If you are able to foster James, SCH will provide a dog crate, dog food, collar, leash and any other items he may need.
