Meet Lady LULU- a bubbly older lady for whom the sky is the limit (she says) Mid July ADR.org heard from a determined lady at the Baldwin Park shelter in CA who was put on euthanization list - because she is senior and is not keen of other dogs. We watched videos and stepped in. If you watch the video on you tube and look into Lulu's face you KNOW that she is on a mission. A mission to capture your heart. LULU has been fostered for a week and is now at the vet -hence still in CA. ETA in WA is beginning of September. Lulu will get a thorough health check with Diagnostics, and bloodwork, spay and dental work to make sure that health wise she can accomplish her mission to ride with you into the sunset of her golden years. Comments from foster are as follows: ((Wonderful girl, ACTIVE SENIOR. She knows to sit, paw and lay down. When she recognizes someone as friend her body language posture relaxes completely. She is easy to handle, walks well on leash. No issues with stairs (e.g., outside stairs coming from backyard). For a home with fenced backyard, the entire fence must be 'bullet proof' so she cannot find weak points and makes her way out. As she is a runner - a lady on a mission. Regarding other dogs that approach her - especially those approaching in an invasive way 'right in your face way' she dislikes that and demonstrates it with a growl - to say, 'back off'.
