It's in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely manner. All household members must attend the meet and greet. Lana loves her people! She really just wants to hang out by you & get all the loves. She gets along well with dogs of all sizes and likes to play outside and 'zoomy' with her Great Dane foster brother. She is equally happy to sleep on the couch as well. When Lana joined us, she was very pregnant, very underweight and fearful of the kennel. She's now a healthy weight but still is a little concerned about when her next meal may be. Her food motivation has proved to be an asset in training. She now kennels easily and knows that's her 'home'. Now that the puppies aren't her main focus, we are working on basic training and behavior. Lana is still wary of strangers and barks when someone she's not familiar with comes in the house. Typically giving her a moment to adjust and approach on her own settles her down. A treat also helps makes friends. The suggestion of older children is that Lana is a big girl and can sometimes be a bit exuberant in her excitement and may unintentionally knock down small children.
