About Kovu (Merric)

As an Aussie, Kovu is highly energetic and needs exercise and stimulation to keep him entertained. He loves your full attention, from petting sessions on the couch to playing ball in the backyard. Kovu has a couple medical issues. He has food-related skin allergies, although this seems to be under control with diet management. He has had a grand mal seizure, whose cause is unknown (maybe epilepsy) but his blood work ruled out liver issues or toxins so he's now on Kepra and doing great. He'll need to continue this prescription. Kovu is good with other dogs and with respectful older children, but he's untested with cats. He'll need a fenced in yard and likely would not be good in an apartment due to some separation anxiety. He is 90% potty trained and crate trained. We know Kovu is high needs but he's not currently thriving in his current foster environment and needs an experienced adopter to help him settle into a perfect pup.
