Welcome Ginger to the CCPAL Foster Program. Ginger is an 18-month old Cattle dog/Terrier mix. She weighs 27 pounds. She loves toys and her new favorite is a purple elephant. She has been a very good mamma dog to her puppies. They are extremely healthy and well cared for. She was dumped on a construction site and we are not sure if she was pregnant or got pregnant on the site. It was extremely hot and dangerous for any dog especially a pregnant one. A good Samaritan picked her up and a foster stepped up for her to have the puppies. The puppies are now weaned so she will be spayed soon. She is also getting treatment for heartworms and will be ready in a few weeks for her forever home. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is an alpha dog but does get along with other dogs. She would be fine as an only dog or could go with another dog. She would be great for a family that is athletic and outdoorsy. She isn't a dog that needs to be entertained. She is very content playing with her toys and running around the yard playing keep away with her pups. She is a nice medium sized dog. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to [email protected] if you have questions.
