About Kody

[Read About Natural Seizure Care] Kody is an energetic and playful male blue heeler who loves to run laps around the yard and play tug of war with his rope. He is very loyal and protective of his person. I selected that he's anxious because he doesn't like his person to be out of his sight but he can be distracted and redirected with some time and attention. He is deaf and receives commands via hand signs. He's incredibly smart so he could learn a ton more signs too that would be helpful in any unique living situation. He is house trained but not quite crate trained. Definitely favors the 'Velcro' tendencies that are common with the breed in that he would prefer to sleep at the feet or snuggle up next to his chosen person than lay in the crate. While Kody has had seizures in the past during a 3 week period, he had all relevant testing done and everything came back totally fine. Vet said he may never have a seizure again and he's been seizure free for 6 months. Kody grew up with two small kiddos but being deaf does make him prone to being startled which is just more likely with rambunctious kiddos running around. He loves meeting new people and maybe gets a little too excited so would benefit from some patient and loving training around learning even better manners. He loves other dogs but does tend to play rough so not recommended for homes with older dogs who just want to chill and be left alone.
