About Ladybird

Seeking re-home in next week if possible. Ladybird is a real sweetheart. I rescued her from a local shelter, but without an enclosed yard I'm unable to give her the home she deserves. She is approximately 1.5 years old. Ladybird is easygoing and has gotten along well with every person and dog I've seen her interact with (I have not seen her interact with cats). She has basic training but needs more work (she is a teenager after all). She has active energy in the morning but mellow most of the rest of the day. She is an ideal fit for someone with space for her to run around and stretch her legs, especially an enclosed yard in a suburban or countryside locale. She would probably be really happy with another dog she can play with. She is a scent hound--her sense of smell is very strong and she is fascinated by wildlife like birds. She can be an escape artist and dart through doors and over fences--be advised that you will need a secure setting for her safety. However she has been learning a lot with training to not do these things, and with consistent training should be able to be secure. She is very smart, eager to please, affectionate, enthusiastic and has a lovely personality. She has no known health conditions and is microchipped. She would be a really wonderful addition in a loving home who understands scent hounds and is seeking a sweet, intelligent, friendly companion. I would love to keep her but don't have the environment she wants to be really happy. I'm looking for a loving home that appreciates all she has to offer and can offer her the setting she needs to thrive.
