About Evie

Once you touch Evie's incredibly soft, rare gray and white coat, you may not be able to keep your hands off her. Evie, who is 6 years old and 16 lbs., has that adorable chunky long body and short little legs characteristic of type B, or Teddy Roosevelt, rat terriers. While she's a picture of good health today, it took a lot of TLC to get her to that point after she was spotted terribly thin and wandering alone on her own for several weeks. Every effort was made to find her family with no luck, but plucky Miss Evie's attitude is 'new me, new life!' and she's rarin' to find a new family to love. Evie is very reliably house-trained and gets along with the other dogs in her foster home. However, she loves affection--as in ALL of the affection--and would be perfectly content to be singular recipient of your love (though she might be willing to share a bit of it with one other small, even-tempered dog). She is also far more comfortable around women and will often give a low growl to let men know that she doesn't care to be friends. Gals will be readily invited to snuggle and play squeaky toy with Miss Evie.
