PHOENIX would love a family of her own with a backyard to play ball in (see video). She has lots of energy, but loves to romp in the yard, play chase, and play with her rope (see video). Because she likes to play hard and boops with her nose, a home without small kids is best for PHOENIX. PHOENIX loves people. She loves attention and belly rubs. She also enjoys rolling around in the grass (see video). She loves tug toys, but exercise caution when playing this game as she has a strong mouth. PHOENIX loves chew toys. PHOENIX is housetrained...goes to the door when she's ready to go out and barks to come back in. PHOENIX needs recall training, but she is super smart. She works well for a treat and has a sit and lay down command. She is learning to heel and starting to walk nicely on a leash. While she was in foster, she did well with boy dogs, but not with other females. A home as the only pet or possibly with another male dog her size is best for PHOENIX. PHOENIX's adoption fee is $275 and includes her vaccines, spay and microchip. She was lucky to be in a foster home for a few months, but then they learned that PHOENIX doesn't like female dogs and had to give him up. With no other foster homes available, PHOENIX went to boarding. PAWS Rescue has to pay $140/week for her and it is depleting all the funds they have allocated for vet care of their rescue dogs.
