Manny lived in a home with adults and children for the first 6 years of his life, but had to be surrendered to a rescue group when the family could no longer care for him. Manny has been in foster care for the last 3 months, but due to rules at that shelter he had to be adopted by his foster family or surrendered to the shelter to be put down. I know it's hard to believe but that was the rule, so we have adopted this boy who deserves a chance for a forever family! Manny currently lives in a home with two small children and another dog. Manny gets along well with everyone. He is very loyal to his owners and wants to be by your side at all times. He is very good with kids and seems to even prefer them over adults. Manny gets along well with our other dog, but he should meet any potential new dog brothers or sisters. He may not do well with an alpha/aggressive dog. Manny is crate trained and perfectly house broken. He can stay in a crate for 8 hours at a time but will want a good long walk after. Manny's one behavior challenge is that he can be fearful of new people, especially if they approach him unexpectedly. He has NO HISTORY of biting or other aggressive behavior, but he does sometimes bark at strangers. All it takes for strangers to become his friend is one treat! Manny would do best in a home with a fenced yard where he has room to run. Manny will quickly become your best friend. Even though he's 6 years old he has lots of energy and loves to fetch and chew toys.
