JackJack came from very horrific conditions. Tied to a tree, barely fed enough to stay alive, and beat so severly that he lost most of his lower teeth. Despite all of this, there is not a shadow of fear, anger or regret in this dog. From day one JackJack has been a happy, cheerful, and very grateful boy. He has been with us for several months to heal and get healthy. We removed quite a few of his remaining lower teeth as they were cracked and broken, and this does not stop JackJack from a hard kibble diet and chewing on bones and hard toys. It does make his tongue hang out, all the time, but this just adds to his charm in our opinion. JackJack is about 55 lbs and aside from the very occasional burst of energy, he's pretty darn laid back. He is crate trained, potty trained, leash trained, and absolutely LOVES to go on road trips especially if they end with a pup cup! JackJack's health issues have all cleared up except one, and that is that he was found to be heartworm positive. He is on the last few months of his 'slow kill' treatment and doing fantastic. He will go with all of the meds to complete his treatment. JackJack needs an indoor home only. A family with kids and other dogs would be ideal, but JackJack could also be an only dog and still thrive as long as he gets to cuddle and get daily kisses. We require an application and a vet check with our adoptions. If you are looking for a push-button dog who is grateful to be alive, please come meet this wonderful boy.
