About Delaney

Delaney is just the sweetest most easy going girl who has had a rough many months. She came to us through our vet when she had a dislocated hip possibly due to being hit by a car. The vet was able to pop it back into place and she wore a sling for several weeks hoping everything would heal soundly. When the sling was removed, it took her a couple weeks to start using her leg and all appeared well! Til a few weeks later she jumped just so after the cat and injured her hip yet again. So then the decision was to move ahead with an FHO (femoral head Osteotomy) where they take the head of the femur off and the tendons and ligaments all tighten to hold it in place! She has had many months to recover and is doing beautifully! Delaney probably doesn't need to run any marathon races but she is able to otherwise live a normal life. Delaney is 1-2 years old, about 45#, and has a great personality! She seems to like everyone even the dogs but can play rough so we are recommending no small dogs or small children. Delaney is housebroken, walks great on the leash, is crate trained, and loves her hooves! Her ideal home would have a fenced in yard and another doggie friend about her size to romp with! Delaney is an easy keeper and truly a gem! She will make someone a great friend and companion! Maybe that someone is you!
