Lucy is an 8YO German Shepherd who came into the shelter as a stray along with Dave A042331. Lucy was already spayed when she was found, and neither dog looks like they've ever missed a meal! So it's clear they had owners, but without microchip or identification we were unable to tell who they were. Now Lucy and Dave are looking for a new family to call their own! Everyone falls in love with Lucy because of her kind and gentle nature. She's very calm and gentle, not to mention easygoing. She's very friendly, has a low energy level, and is great at walking on a leash without pulling. This sweet older girl just wants to relax. Perhaps her future humans will be older, like her, and will appreciate her desire to do as little as possible. She's more of a cuddler than a runner and wants to keep her exercise to a minimum. She'd much prefer sitting around and being pet to running and playing. Lucy's version of being really excited usually just entails her smiling really big. She's over all the puppy behavior: no jumping or zooming coming from her! Even in shelter playgroups she's not much for running around. She's happy to be around other dogs, but she just wants to chill. Lucy is an 8YO German Shepherd who came into the shelter as a stray on 5/31/23. She weighs 52 lbs.
