About Piper

I'm Piper, one of the sweetest 6-year-old gals you'll ever meet. People are my passion! Spending time with my human(s) is my superpower. I'll follow you around and bond to you like glue! I'll give you gentle kisses and snuggle beside you in bed at night. In fact, I feel pretty pathetic when my people aren't home, so I would love it if you worked from home or were retired and could spend most of your day with me. I don't really love being crated, but I'll tolerate it, especially if there's a peanut butter-filled Kong in there for me! Thankfully I'm house-trained and have proven myself trustworthy in the house. I also walk nicely on a leash and enjoy traveling, whether it's in a car or on a plane. Despite my name, I don't really have a set of pipes! I'll give one or two subtle barks when a package is delivered (to prevent porch pirates) or when your DoorDash order is coming up the driveway (to provide you with hot food). And speaking of food...I might have enjoyed it a bit too much in my former life, but my foster mom is teaching me to eat a little less and move a little more. I hope you'll help me continue my fitness quest. I currently weigh 17 1/2 lbs., but the vet says I should weigh 11-12 lbs. I'm truly a 'people dog.' Toys aren't that interesting; you're the only entertainment I want. I don't even need other dogs around because I would have to share you with them. I'm definitely no fan of big dogs, and kitty cats need to be chased to be worth anything at all. Nope, all I need is YOU!
