We will consider applicants who live within a few hours from us. If the ad is still visible, we are still accepting applications. We will likely begin looking at applications starting on 6/23/23. If you have already completed an application with us, then one application works for all of our dogs. We understand that some dogs are very popular and we may have many apps that will be great dog owners. We can only choose 1. Bentley's adoption fee is $200. A copy of his medical records will be provided as part of the adoption process.�%A0 Bentley is a 2 year old, 16 pound, Maltipoo (Maltese/Poodle mix) our best guess. Bentley is a dapper little fellow that is very sweet and loves to be with his people. Someone who is OK with him on the furniture and sharing a little spot on their bed for him is ideal. He gets along well with other dogs and cats. He also does well with older children. We would not recommend younger children age 8�%A0and below due to his acting nervous around unpredictable ages. Bentley loves sharing space on the back of the couch near you during downtime, or even right on your lap. He walks well on leash and enjoys a fenced yard. He does well in the car. He does bark at other dogs at the vet.�%A0 Bentley also�%A0barks a bit when left alone, but then settles. He is�%A0not be the best candidate for apartments or duplexes with shared walls because of this. He can be left contained in a room with no issues and has not need�%A0to be crated when alone. He does have a tendency to mark, but using belly bands in a new environment has nearly eliminated this behavior. He's currently in a multidog household with an older dog who has accidents. He may have no issues in a different environment.�%A0 Bentley does require regular grooming appointments to maintain his lovely locks. Please consider this extra expense every 8-12 weeks�%A0of $60+ dollars for a grooming appointment in addition to quality food, preventatives, and routine medical care. Bentley does enjoy squeaky toys. He is currently eating Fromm Dog food with no signs of allergy issues. Based on some of his discoloration on his hair and skin, we can assume he may have eaten some food in the past that caused some signs of skin allergies. Bentley is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He is current on his monthly preventatives.
