About Kingston

Adoption Fee: $325
Chihuahua / Rat Terrier
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Kingston is a two-and-a-half-year-old, Chihuahua and Rat Terrier mix, weighing twelve pounds. He doesn't do well with other dogs, and mature kids ten and over will be fine, we have not tested Kingston with cats. Kingston has the body of a small dog but thinks he is a big dog. Kingston loves people and wants to be the only dog in his home, so he doesn't have to share all of the attention.%A0 His foster writes, 'Kingston can get aggressive with other dogs in the house so he would be best as an only dog.' You also need to pay attention on walks since he can pull his leash towards passing dogs. Fortunately, he is a small dog! Because of this he cannot be walked by children. Kingston is housetrained, he can be left loose in the house or in a dog playpen. He loves to be outside so a secure fenced yard is required unless you have a secured patio, deck, or porch.%A0 Kingston is a darling dog! Kingston loves to cuddle in the bed at night and often wants to burrow down into the covers. He will definitely steal your food if he gets half a chance along with your heart! He is sweet and adorable!' Kingston thrives in an adult home where he's treated like the King of the world! Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls, no emails. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
