About Milo

Milo is a sweet, handsome young boy who loves to be near his humans and will always greet them with a wagging nub when they come home. Milo is full of life. He has playful energy and a personality that will make you smile. He's an active 10 -11 month old Corgi who goes for 1-2 mile walks every day to help him slim down his manly 40# figure. He also loves playing with his toys, hiding them in the garden, and doing 'zoomies' in his yard. Soon after that, he will fall fast asleep for a power nap on your lap or on the cool floor before he is ready to go again! Like most Corgis he's a huge snuggler, and loves giving kisses. Milo loves meeting new people, but is a bit exuberant, so he needs his adopter to continue working with him on how to remain calm during greetings and sofa time with his humans. His exposure to children has been limited, but he would likely be too much for very small children, but teens are ok. He'd do best with dogs that won't mind his puppy energy or feel the need to 'correct' him when he's over the top! Sorry, no cats. Milo seems to have some abandonment issues and prefers to remain close by, or follow his human around until he understands that he's not going to be dumped again! His current foster has been working on his separation anxiety with good results! She has established a few safe areas that Milo is becoming content when left alone in his crate for a few hours at a time and on his bed overnight, so an apartment would not be a good fit. Milo is fully house trained, and accustomed to a fenced home with a yard. Milo loves car rides and adventures. He is a smart boy who has been very responsive to training, especially when treats are involved. Milo is neutered, on his first round of DAPP, up to date on his vaccines, chipped, and heartworm negative. Milo is ready for his forever home.
